It started off simple enough.  Get there beforehand, find the sweet spots and check all my camera settings.  Well I guess I should start by saying I parked on the wrong side of the building and had to walk forEVER in this heat.  Just as I’m deciding which lens I’d like to start shooting with I realize I haven’t put my camera battery in.  No biggie, right?  Wrong!  Turns out for the first time ever I left both my batteries at home.  Yeah, this is starting out great (insert sarcasm).  So I start walking all the way BACK to my car when I realize that my favorite client lives just down the road and has a Nikon SLR.  Hallelujah!  I call her and guess what…she’s not home!  Of all the luck huh?  My only choice is to hightail it back home, which is a good 20 minutes one way, and get my battery.  I called my husband when I was close and had him stand at the foot of our driveway.  As I pulled up I lowered the passenger side window and shouted ‘throw it in!’ as I drove by.  Yes, I did a drive by.  Anywho, I finally made it back and just in time for some amazing back-lighting.  Ahhh the things we do.
