I loved this session….and not just because this sweet baby girl has the reddest hair ever!  She was such a good girl and her big sister had a blast running and playing all over the studio while we photographed her baby sis.

I always tell parents that during their baby’s newborn session the chances of them getting peed and/or pooped on is very high.  Well this session did not disappoint!  Poor mom wore the cutest WHITE capris when it happened to her.  So by the time dad got to hold his daughter he was pretty confident that nothing would happen to him.  Boy was he wrong!  She got him with #1 AND #2….at the same time!  I told him that if she went potty to just hold it for a second to make sure I got the shot before we cleaned up.  Oh the things we do for our images.  🙂

Spring is in the air!  This session makes me so excited for summer.  Everything is starting to bloom, the grass is green and the colors are bright!  It was such a beautiful morning when we shot this session that we walked from the Compton Gardens on down to the Bentonville Square to get a good mix.

A couple of years ago our family had family pictures taken.  I got to experience first hand how much stress goes into deciding what everyone will wear, making sure hair is cut, etc..  We had a wonderful time having pictures taken and just loved everything she took.  What I realized looking through the images was it wasn’t so much the pictures of the kids (that were spectacular), or even the family pictures that I was over the moon for (though those were great too!).  The pictures that made me cry were the images she took of me with each of my 3 children.  Two years later and I still tear up when I walk past those images on my wall.  My kids love it too.  They love knowing that there are pictures of each of them alone with mom.  I love all my children, but they are each different and therefore my relationship with each of them is very different.  To have images that capture that relationship…I can’t tell you how much it means to me.  And to know that one day each of my children will inherit these images of themselves with their mom is a huge thing.

So this got me thinking.  Why not do some sessions for just that.  Not for family or siblings, but sessions for just you and your child.  So here it is!

I am opening these up for past and current clients first.  Because I love my clients I want to give them first chance at scheduling.  On March 20th I will open up bookings for new clients, so make sure you bookmark this or add me to your feed.  And…did I mention that Mother’s Day is May 3rd?  Ya, it is.  🙂

These frames are just beautiful.  And the detail and quality is amazing!  You can check out all there frame styles by stopping by the studio or visiting their website:  The Organic Bloom

And there is an endless color wheel to choose from!

I simply adore this age.  All the coo’s and smiles, drool and rolls…it’s a bit of heaven on Earth.  The sitting up stage is one of the best times to photograph babies.  I had the honor of photographing her on the day of her birth.  You can check out the blog post about that day HERE.  I can hardly believe how fast time has flown by!

This little beauty was going to be named Devin.  That is until they found out he was going to be a she…in the last month of mom’s pregnancy.  Surprise!  🙂  Isn’t she just precious?!  Every time I get to snuggle a newborn I get closer to having #4.  😉
