Sweet little Livi had the most amazing eye contact for a newborn.  She wasn’t much of a sleeper during our session, but she also hardly made a peep!  Dark hair, blue eyes and squishy cheeks makes for another perfect little person brought into the world.  I can’t wait to watch her grow up!  As I sit here and look at these images I’m amazed how fast my own baby’s first 7 months have just flown by!  There just isn’t enough hours in a day or weeks in a year…

Introducing Olivia Grace 🙂

Darling Ignacio…you slept like a dream for your first photo-shoot.  I’m so glad you enjoyed your experience sweet boy, because your mother is going to have a camera in your face for the rest of your days.  She’s a bit picture crazy, like me.  🙂

I met this mom-to-be while I was pregnant with our Clary.  She is a nurse at my OB’s office, and every month when I’d come in for my check up I’d tell her ‘Don’t tell me how much I’ve gained, only if it’s healthy’.  I still don’t know how much I put on, and I’m very happy for that.  🙂  This past Saturday she got to welcome into the world her baby girl, Livi Grace.  Livi has been prayed for and wanted for a long time, and momma did a wonderful job getting her here.  They had so many wonderful family members and friends in and out the whole time offering support and giving her something to laugh about.  I was honored to witness not just the birth of this baby girl, but the love in this family…the entire family!  🙂

Livi was born at 2:18pm, weighing 7.2 pounds and 19 inches long.  And the hair!  Oh my that hair…she is beautiful!  🙂

I met this mom over a year ago, about the time I found out I was pregnant with Clary.  She wanted to take some private camera lessons, and one lesson has turned into several mentoring sessions.  We have had fun getting to know one another.  I love how much she goes after learning photography.  She wants to learn as much as possible and work hard on this so that when her husband’s job takes them back home to Chile she can start her own business.  Apparently portrait photography is not as popular there…which is crazy with such a colorful, fun, warm place like Chile.

So here she is, ready to have baby boy #3 any day now.  I can’t wait to meet him!  If he is 1/2 as handsome as his brothers you’re in for a treat!  🙂

A third boy.  Oh boy oh boy OH BOY! (as an excited friend put it).  When each of my children were born I never could look at them and figure out who they were going to look like, but little Tripp here…he sure looks like his brother Tate!  Right down to that adorable chin dimple.

It’s been a while since I’ve shot a newborn session at a client’s home.  Not on purpose though.  I love shooting in homes since it’s always fresh and inspiring surrounding, but since I opened my studio most newborn clients come in.  This was such a special treat for me and mom!

I ventured upstairs while mom was feeding for a bit to play with the big boys in their new bedroom.  They were still in their pajamas, but who cares?  🙂  One of the fun things about moving from NWA to the east coast was they got a new room…and it’s a lot bigger!  I was a bit jealous myself because I’d love to have my own play area.  😉

We have a whole series of images of the boys playing around on mom’s bed, but I’ll show you these two.  They were waiting to take pictures with new baby brother and killed some time with a bit of wrestling.  So adorable, aren’t they?

I just have to show this sibling shot.  Tripp wanted to keep his legs stretched out all the time!  His mom said he was like that inside as well.  Always up under her ribs.  🙂

A little impromptu outdoor shot later in the day.  After an afternoon of chit chat someone said it was 60° outside.  And the rest is history as they say.  🙂

Katie, I am thrilled that you allowed me to come out and photograph Tripp’s entrance to the world and his first photo session.  I had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come again!  xoxo
