So yesterday I was trying to get some work done in my office and our dog [Rosco] just started whining.  At first I just ignored him because, well frankly I figured he wanted my food that I was eating at the time.  After a bit I realized that he probably wanted to go outside [duh Mindy] and play because it was so nice out!  I took him out for a bit and snapped just a couple [humiliating] pictures of him.  I say humiliating because he was shaved a few days ago at his groomers.  Normally my Saint Bernard has a very thick very full coat of brown fur all over that makes him look bigger and scarier, lol!  I’m sure if he could talk he’d be very upset with me.  🙂

NOTE: only a few prime opening left in Sept/Oct. so if you’ve been putting off scheduling your appt. it’s time to get that done.

I have a confession to make.  I can’t photograph my own children…together….as in all together in the same frame.  This should be an easy task right?  Surely the photographers children would be pros at having their pictures taken right?  Wrong!  Individually they are a dream to work with.  Five minutes and that’s it, but put them all together, and then throw in their cousin and I about pull my hair out.  I haven’t quite figured out what the problem is.  Maybe asking them to be anywhere within touching distance is just too much to ask?  Who knows.  For some reason (maybe I’m punishing myself) I decided to give it a go again!  This time we went to a park so that the play equipment might distract them…it was…interesting.  🙂

p.s.  I am technically still on vacation and will be through Thursday.  If you have sent me an email in the last day or so please know that I will respond.  I am trying to get caught up on all my emails and phone calls, etc.

Okay, really I have a couple clients who really need your vote!  I found this great website that is all about resources for the hip mom.  Well it turns out every month they have a photo contest for professional photographers and I entered a couple shots.  I really have no idea what we win…really it’d just be cool to win.  🙂  So to all your hip mama’s out there…and other photog’s go check it out.  Oh, and don’t forget to vote for us!

We took off to Branson with our close friends this holiday weekend and had some fun.  We had 6 children (8 yrs. old being the oldest) between the 4 adults, so needless to say we were outnumbered!  🙂

We ran into rain, but for the most part it was nice…not too hot or cold.  These kids are so much braver than I was at their age with some of the rides we were able to talk them into.  LOL!

We went to The Landing for dinner and a waterworks (with cool fire. 🙂 ) show Saturday night.  There were these kids that could’nt have been older than 18 playing drums with buckets.  They were really good too!

This was our view from dinner.

Abby was totally outnumbered, but she handled it so well.  🙂

I told you it was a cool show.  😉

We made the men take them on this ride because we didn’t feel like getting wet.  After seeing how wet they got i’m really glad we didn’t go!

The giant barn swing.  I can NOT believe my son got on this.  It swings you just over a 90 degree angle…pretty awesome.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.  Now get back to work!  😉
