Well, today I was supposed to photograph two beautiful little baby boys…but mother nature had other plans. With school cancelled, and my roads not cleared off I was forced to stay home. sigh
I did, however, get to go outside and get some wonderful shots of the weather. I had to go out two times to get all these, because apparently when one takes pictures in 10 degree weather without gloves on it can cause pain! LOL
I hope you enjoy these pictures…with great joy (and pain, haha) I give you my winter wonderland!
Have you ever had one of those holidays that you didn’t think was going to be great, yet even in the midst of things it ended up being really good? That was us this year. I heard a sermon quite some time ago that talked about how this life will always challenge us. People are either just getting out of something, in the midst of it, or are about to go through something. That is just so true…but knowing that God always has our back is all the hope we need. God has truly blessed me with a wonderfully family and friends that would (and often does) bend over backwards for me. So I’d like to take a moment and tell them all that I love you!
On another note. I’m a photographer (if you didn’t know that by now), and what else do photographers do on a holiday but take pictures? I haven’t used my backgrounds in a while, and I thought it would be perfect to show off some color! Solid colors are classic for portraits, but i’m just not classic! I am not one to tell you to stay away from color and patterns (for the most part, there are always exceptions)…as a matter of fact I think colors are a great way to show off your childs personality. So, in honor of color here are my kiddo’s in all their glory. 🙂
Did you see that game last night? I know i’m living in Hog country, but i’m a Sooner fan through and through! Last night OU beat OSU in possibly the most exciting game all season…total bedlam! :0
Here is a clip with the highlights on it. I must warn you that the music that’s playing with it has some lyrics in it that you may not like…it was the best clip I could find. Just turn off your volume and watch the game! 🙂
Big XII Championship next, the world tomorrow! ha ha.
Til next time,
Mindy
I love this time of year! All the food, music, decorations, snow….oh wait..we don’t get snow here! 😉 That is the only thing (besides my family) that I miss about the northeast…all the beautiful snow. This year it was just us for Thanksgiving. We had a nice day, and the kids got through it without fighting! (now there is a prayer answered. ha ha) I have never done the whole ‘shop at an insanely early hour on black friday’ thing, but i’m seriously considering it this year. Ever since last night my inbox has been Flooded with emails for unbelievable ads! I don’t know, there is something exciting about shopping at the last moments. Call me crazy! 🙂
Til next time,
Mindy
