This summer we made a list of all the things we want to do.  Everything from roast marshmallows to camping to this trip to Kansas City.  I think we are about 1/2 way through that list, even with the kids being at camp part of the time.  Having a list of things to look forward to has kept them from getting bored and me from going crazy.  🙂  This past weekend we drove up to KC and spend time all around Union Station and the zoo.  The weather was perfect!

The morning after we got home this happened…

Let me remind you she is SEVEN MONTHS OLD!  She is crazy.  She has been learning new things so fast I can hardly keep up.  She also took her first knee forward in crawling position today.  What a wild ride she has been… 🙂

A third boy.  Oh boy oh boy OH BOY! (as an excited friend put it).  When each of my children were born I never could look at them and figure out who they were going to look like, but little Tripp here…he sure looks like his brother Tate!  Right down to that adorable chin dimple.

It’s been a while since I’ve shot a newborn session at a client’s home.  Not on purpose though.  I love shooting in homes since it’s always fresh and inspiring surrounding, but since I opened my studio most newborn clients come in.  This was such a special treat for me and mom!

I ventured upstairs while mom was feeding for a bit to play with the big boys in their new bedroom.  They were still in their pajamas, but who cares?  🙂  One of the fun things about moving from NWA to the east coast was they got a new room…and it’s a lot bigger!  I was a bit jealous myself because I’d love to have my own play area.  😉

We have a whole series of images of the boys playing around on mom’s bed, but I’ll show you these two.  They were waiting to take pictures with new baby brother and killed some time with a bit of wrestling.  So adorable, aren’t they?

I just have to show this sibling shot.  Tripp wanted to keep his legs stretched out all the time!  His mom said he was like that inside as well.  Always up under her ribs.  🙂

A little impromptu outdoor shot later in the day.  After an afternoon of chit chat someone said it was 60° outside.  And the rest is history as they say.  🙂

Katie, I am thrilled that you allowed me to come out and photograph Tripp’s entrance to the world and his first photo session.  I had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come again!  xoxo

It’s a boy!  This is their third child and it’s another boy.  Three’s a charm!  Katie was amazing during labor, although I’m sure she feels a bit differently about that.  🙂  Just like at their last child’s birth she brought along her Friend’s CD and we watched some episodes to help take her mind off the contractions.  I wasn’t sure what to expect at this hospital since I’ve never traveled outside of NWA for a birth, but the hospital and staff were great.  I was so jealous of the bathrooms in this hospital.  Every L&D room had a bathtub with jets instead of that unfriendly shower.  Katie had such a wonderful labor nurse, Sara.  She was a hoot!  Once little man was born he got to stay in the room for a nice, long time.  They even brought bath-time to us and mom got to help bathe him for the first time.

Tripp William Henson entered the world on March 4th, 2013 at 1:44pm.  He weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.

He is beautiful.

Just a quick update on our ClaireBear.  I found this hearts scarf at Charming Charlies in Rogers.  I just love it!  If you’re planning on your baby’s newborn session stop by there and get one you love to bring along with you.  🙂

I’ll be in Charlotte, NC (actually I’ll be right on the border in SC, but going over to NC) to photograph one of my favorite clients’ birth and newborn session.  This is baby #3 and they are leaving the sex as a surprise.  Can’t wait!  I’ll be gone from March 3rd-10th, but will be able to answer emails.

They call this the gateway to the West.  The St. Louis arch.  Shot from the highway with my iPhone on the last stretch of our drive back home.  And no, I was not driving and shooting.  🙂
