Mom contacted me for a session of her with her boys.  She said it was a surprise for her husband, but I think her cover got blown today.  😉

I asked her what ‘G’ and ‘C’ liked to do for fun and she said BASEBALL.  Know I haven’t done a session quite like this before, but I hope to do more!  A huge Thank You goes out to Kendra at the Natural’s Stadium for letting us be the first portrait session to shoot there!  We were able to get onto the field, dugout, stands…she even took us down to the players batting cages.  The boys were so patient [mom may disagree  🙂 ] with me while I took pictures.  All they wanted to do was run onto that field!  🙂

Enjoy your sneak peak!

Celebrating Adoption is an organization of professional photographers dedicated to promoting adoption.  If you have adopted your child within the last year (birth-18) then you are eligible for a complimentary session.  Every participating photographer gives their time and talent free PLUS you get all your proofs!  Here in Arkansas there are only 3 participating photographers, and I’d love to change that.

Go to the Celebrating Adoption website to find a participating photographer in your area.

Now on with the show.  🙂

Little ‘N’ is celebrating his 1st birthday tomorrow, and this session was to celebrate his adoption as well!  He is simply adorable what with those dark eyes and curly hairs!  Adrienne I hope you enjoy this little preview.  😉

Below is what happens at the end of a session when the kiddos are tired and it’s pushing lunchtime…you get what they naturally do!  🙂  I know this is a silly shot, but there is just something about it that I love.  I think it’s just so real.

I have a confession to make.  I can’t photograph my own children…together….as in all together in the same frame.  This should be an easy task right?  Surely the photographers children would be pros at having their pictures taken right?  Wrong!  Individually they are a dream to work with.  Five minutes and that’s it, but put them all together, and then throw in their cousin and I about pull my hair out.  I haven’t quite figured out what the problem is.  Maybe asking them to be anywhere within touching distance is just too much to ask?  Who knows.  For some reason (maybe I’m punishing myself) I decided to give it a go again!  This time we went to a park so that the play equipment might distract them…it was…interesting.  🙂

p.s.  I am technically still on vacation and will be through Thursday.  If you have sent me an email in the last day or so please know that I will respond.  I am trying to get caught up on all my emails and phone calls, etc.

These next few are of my niece.  She is beautiful (as is every girl), and should know it!

This session is the epitomy of what I love.  Family being themselves and doing what you normally do together.  (ok, so they don’t normally put their piano outdoors…)

When Mark told me he wanted to bring his music outside I was thrilled!  Seriously, it doesn’t get more fun for a photographer.  🙂

What else can I say?  These pictures say it all.  Oh yeah, and if you’d like to HEAR how well they sing you can see them perform every Sunday at FBC Rogers.  🙂

One of the best things about my job (besides being my own boss) is getting to meet new people.  I just love getting to know families and chatting.  I’ve been known to talk so much I have to remind myself to shoot my camera!  🙂

Mom & Dad are expecting their first baby, and they have decided to let their baby’s sex be a surprise!  I could never do that because I need to know everything!

Melissa I enjoyed our session and can’t wait to meet your little surprise.  Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek from this evening.
