It’s a boy!  This is their third child and it’s another boy.  Three’s a charm!  Katie was amazing during labor, although I’m sure she feels a bit differently about that.  🙂  Just like at their last child’s birth she brought along her Friend’s CD and we watched some episodes to help take her mind off the contractions.  I wasn’t sure what to expect at this hospital since I’ve never traveled outside of NWA for a birth, but the hospital and staff were great.  I was so jealous of the bathrooms in this hospital.  Every L&D room had a bathtub with jets instead of that unfriendly shower.  Katie had such a wonderful labor nurse, Sara.  She was a hoot!  Once little man was born he got to stay in the room for a nice, long time.  They even brought bath-time to us and mom got to help bathe him for the first time.

Tripp William Henson entered the world on March 4th, 2013 at 1:44pm.  He weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.

He is beautiful.

Just a quick update on our ClaireBear.  I found this hearts scarf at Charming Charlies in Rogers.  I just love it!  If you’re planning on your baby’s newborn session stop by there and get one you love to bring along with you.  🙂

I’ll be in Charlotte, NC (actually I’ll be right on the border in SC, but going over to NC) to photograph one of my favorite clients’ birth and newborn session.  This is baby #3 and they are leaving the sex as a surprise.  Can’t wait!  I’ll be gone from March 3rd-10th, but will be able to answer emails.

Oh how I love this little girl!  I think someone must have told her she’d have to get used to her mom taking her picture a lot because she is a HAM!  You should get used to seeing her face A LOT over the next year.  🙂

Clary is what I like to call my unexpected blessing.  She is our fourth child and second girl.  I remember the day I found out I was pregnant.  It was late morning and I was getting ready to head out to the studio when I noticed the pregnancy test box.  I’m not sure why I still had one in the house or when it was bought, but I knew I was late so just to ease my mind I took it.  Never in a million years did I think I’d see 2 pink lines.  I was floored.  So much so that I actually screamed.  Thank goodness no one was home but me because I was in full panic mode!  Did I mention this is number four? She was so good to me while I was carrying her.  I never swelled or got nauseated.  She grew straight out like a bowling ball and she let me continue shooting sessions till the last month!

When we got to the hospital I knew it would be a quick labor (or I hoped) because all mine were.  A few hours later….it was time to push.  She came out fast!  And boy did she scream at us!  🙂

What did we do before smart-phones?  All the moments were able to capture in such ease that before were missed.  I’m so glad Andy remember to do a little video on that phone!

Clary Anne.  Such a healthy, pink screamer.  🙂

I just love this face.  Now that she is here I can’t imagine our family without her.  Funny how that works, huh?

On November 30th we welcomed our 4th child into the world.  We named her Clary Anne, and she is simply divine!  She eats like a little piggie and sleeps like an angel….and is always being held by some member of our family.  I don’t think she’ll ever bother to crawl or walk since she’ll be catered to by her much older siblings.  🙂 🙂

Today was the first time I took her to the studio for a few pictures.  I knew I wouldn’t feel up to it for a bit, so like many of you we hired a photographer.  Raye Law (who photographed our family 3 years ago as well) photographed our little Clary at just 6 days old and even managed to get beautiful images of all of our children together.  I’m exhausted just thinking about that task.  I can’t tell you what a relief it is to know her newborn images are all taken care of and I don’t have to worry about doing it myself.  I get to just do what many of my clients do…enjoy my new baby.  So here are a few fun images we took today.  Levi (our 5 year old) calls this first one ‘Clary Elf’.
