I just love this sweet little guy. He is usually all smiles, but this particular morning he wasn’t so much. It took a little bit more effort to get these, but so completely worth it! Mom told me he woke from his nap later that day with a fever…which make these images all the more amazing! Can’t wait to see him again at a year. XO

I really enjoyed this maternity session. Nothing like getting wet up to your knees on a warm spring day! We shot this session up at Tanyard Creek on a gorgeous afternoon that was 80°. Baby Rivers will be here soon, and I can’t wait to meet him!

Being invited into a family’s most important day is an incredible honor. To be able to give them clear memories of such a miraculous day I can’t put into words. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each of you for inviting me to such a moment.

Mom was so worried that things weren’t progressing after a while that she decided she’d try to get some sleep. I left the room and took a stroll to snag some images and give them a little down time. I hadn’t been out of the room 15 minutes when I felt my phone vibrating. It was the dad. He said ‘where are you?’, and I replied ‘just down the hall on my way back.”. He said it was time to push…and I really thought he was teasing me for just a second. The last time we checked mom was only at a 6! I hustled to the room, and sure enough it was time! Mom did so awesome and dad had the biggest smile plastered on his face the whole time. Congratulations F & C! He is simply beautiful. 🙂

It was a gorgeous sunny afternoon when I finally got to meet this year’s Single Parent Giveaway winner. Travis and his daughters are big Captain America fans, so of course we had to showcase a bit of that. I told the girls I haven’t seen the latest CA movie, so no spoilers!

We started off at a playground, because really, what better place to take kids?! Chloe and Kendle were so great, and have the sweetest personalities in their own right. 🙂

Beautiful little girls with such beautiful personalities. Dad has certainly got his work cut out for him, but after meeting him I know he’s got this handled. 🙂

This was a fun, laid back session. Mom contacted me because her oldest had lost those two front teeth, and she really wanted to document this milestone before her big girl teeth came through. I was thrilled! It’s a time that often gets overlooked as photoworthy. When I showed up the kids and I hit it off right away. We hung out in their bedrooms for a bit, checking out their favorite things. Then we decided to go play outside. Before we knew it lunch was ready and we were all done. 🙂
