Here’s another session I got to shoot in that snowfall from last month. We started in the warm and toasty studio, and then finished up playing out in the snow. Braxton wasn’t quite sure what to think of all that snow, but he was definitley curious about it. When I first saw him bundled up in his snowgear it reminded me of that scene from The Christmas Story. You know, where the mother puts the snowgear on the youngest son, puts a few scarfs around his face and then he can’t put his arms down? It was so cute, and so funny!

We even got a few of the canine family members. 🙂

She has the best smile! I love when I get to photograph a senior. It doesn’t happen often as I’m more babies and children, but it’s a nice break from my normal. Madison wanted a little downtown and a little natural. She wasn’t interested in being photographed where people would be staring at her, and neither was I! We kept our downtown shots off the beaten path, but somehow those sweet older ladies (you know…the one’s that smile at all passing babies) still found us, ohhh’ing and ahhh’ing at her. 🙂

She is still trying to choose between 3 different colleges, but I know she will do great wherever she decides.

This last set of images below was fun. Madison is a long distance runner. She wanted something a bit silly, like wearing a dress with her running shoes. 🙂 Trying to get this shot on a Friday night, in the middle of a road, downtown, on a game night…it required a lot of patience. And running back and forth. 🙂

This family was lucky enough to have some beautiful snow for their session! The kids were such troopers to run outdoors for a few shots. Baby Edward is so lucky to have so many siblings. If it’s anything like my house he’s going to have lots of little hands taking care of him and making him laugh. 🙂

In typical kid style I had a little photobomber. 🙂

Last time I photographed this family sweet ‘C’ was just a baby. Now she is this totally adorable little girl who looks exactly like her mama! She brought her Lovie with her, and even make sure he was a part of the family! 🙂

Mama is a very talented artist herself. She paints the most amazing creations! Commissioning her is on my 2014 list! And I do believe her ‘mini me’ sometimes paints right along side. 🙂

This last one is something a bit different from my usual…but it’s growing on me. It reminds me of something pulled from the past.

The first time I met this mom was during a camera class that I taught to local mom’s. I’m excited to say her and her husband have been shooting their daily snapshots on manual ever since! I got to know her a little better when she and her son booked a ‘Mommy & Me’ session, and she even wrote as a guest blogger for me once. This session was the first time I got to meet dad. So now we have the whole gang! 🙂

Meet Clementine. She was a hoot! It’s always fun when clients bring along the WHOLE family. 🙂
