Just a quick update on our ClaireBear.  I found this hearts scarf at Charming Charlies in Rogers.  I just love it!  If you’re planning on your baby’s newborn session stop by there and get one you love to bring along with you.  🙂

I’ll be in Charlotte, NC (actually I’ll be right on the border in SC, but going over to NC) to photograph one of my favorite clients’ birth and newborn session.  This is baby #3 and they are leaving the sex as a surprise.  Can’t wait!  I’ll be gone from March 3rd-10th, but will be able to answer emails.

Clary is what I like to call my unexpected blessing.  She is our fourth child and second girl.  I remember the day I found out I was pregnant.  It was late morning and I was getting ready to head out to the studio when I noticed the pregnancy test box.  I’m not sure why I still had one in the house or when it was bought, but I knew I was late so just to ease my mind I took it.  Never in a million years did I think I’d see 2 pink lines.  I was floored.  So much so that I actually screamed.  Thank goodness no one was home but me because I was in full panic mode!  Did I mention this is number four? She was so good to me while I was carrying her.  I never swelled or got nauseated.  She grew straight out like a bowling ball and she let me continue shooting sessions till the last month!

When we got to the hospital I knew it would be a quick labor (or I hoped) because all mine were.  A few hours later….it was time to push.  She came out fast!  And boy did she scream at us!  🙂

What did we do before smart-phones?  All the moments were able to capture in such ease that before were missed.  I’m so glad Andy remember to do a little video on that phone!

Clary Anne.  Such a healthy, pink screamer.  🙂

I just love this face.  Now that she is here I can’t imagine our family without her.  Funny how that works, huh?

The last 66 days have gone by so incredibly fast I can hardly believe it!  It’s been a long time since we’ve had a baby in our house, and the kids are just loving every second of her.  Clary has been such a huge unexpected blessing.  I’ve been taking a picture (or several) every day and plan on continuing for her entire first year of life.  I actually decided to take each of her daily images with my iPhone5, and then at the end of the first year I’m going to make a huge gallery wrap with 365 images.  If you’re on Instagram come follow me!  Username is mworthin.

The many faces of Clary 🙂

I realized this weekend after shooting several sessions that it has been a while since I updated my own kids pictures.  Well, I’ve rectified that.  🙂  Looking at our oldest I can hardly believe it’s been 12 years!  For all you moms just starting out on your path soak it all up (and I mean all, the crying fits too) because it goes by FAST!

I love how far technology has come.  With the new smartphones come better and better phone cameras.  The latest iPhone’s camera is really good!  I use it for just about all of my everyday snapshots.  Since Clary was born I’ve been making sure I take at least one image a day.  I want to remember all the everyday things, and I want each of my kids to remember their individual relationship with their baby sister.  Since my kids are spread out in age, and since that’s how I grew up, I want to make sure those special bonds are documented.  If you own a smartphone I encourage you to snap a picture everyday of the year.  And not just a picture of what you’re eating or your latte’s, but something meaningful.  Here are a few I’ve been snapping lately.  You can find me and follow me on Instagram, username is mworthin.
